Frequently Asked Questions
Where will practices be held?
In the Four Points area there is a severe shortage of good practice fields. In the past, teams have practiced baseball in Sun Tree Park
in River Place as well as at the 2 elementary schools in Steiner Ranch (Steiner Ranch Elementary and Laura Bush Elementary) and Flat Top park/field
in Steiner Ranch. These fields
need to be reserved in order to practice on them. The fields in River Place are reserved by attending a scheduling meeting prior to the
start of the season. The fields in Steiner Ranch are controlled by the
Steiner Ranch homeowner's association. More information about scheduling will be posted here once it is known. There is also a new park field
being developed in Steiner Ranch that should provide an excellent practice facility.
Does Four Points Baseball include softball?
For all intents and purposes, the answer is yes. At this point, since land is still being searched for in the Four Points area, we can't commit
to anything specific. However, as time goes on, and land evolves into fields, support for as many baseball and softball age-based leagues is
our goal.
What official league will Four Points Baseball be guided by (Pony, Little League, etc.)?
At this point, no official overseeing organization has been identified for Four Points Baseball. Over the next several months
this will be determined. In general, Four Points Baseball will choose an organization that best fits the overall goals of
Four Points Baseball rather than try to force Four Points Baseball to adapt to an organization over time.
