"Last week, we drove over 130 miles to and from T&C (5 round trips). Average time of the trip was 38 minutes. A park nearby would save money we put into our gas tank and provide more time at home. We need this!" - Matt Schriner

"I think the new Four Points Baseball organization would be a huge benefit to our community. We are currently a part of T&C and are spending lots of time traveling in the car to get to games. This time would be better spent actually practicing baseball and spending time working on developing fundamentals of the game. We are currently practicing in Steiner Ranch on multi- purpose fields. The boys are not getting the benefit of actually practicing on a baseball diamond. With closer fields they would have more practice time on a real field." - Chris Nauert

"Since moving here in Nov. 2004, we have realized the need for a Baseball league. We have experienced first hand what it is to have a league in your own community. It really is a community builder where families are able to come together in an activity that the entire family can participate in.
Right now, our son did not get put on a SR team so our practices take an average of 50 minutes to get to and he does not have one team mate that is from SR or River Place. Any baseball night for us takes a minimum of 3 hours. Kids need to participate with other kids from the same community and schools to help in building lasting friendships. Bringing this to our community would drastically cut down on driving, free up time, and build family relationships with others that live in the same community." - Buddy

"Our daughters played softball with Town and Country last Fall. The fields were so far away, very inconvienent. This Spring, our 1st grade daughter is playing softball with the LCP League. It is a very well ran organization and we are happy with LCP. Although the fields are more convenient than T&C, there are nights when there is a 7:15 game and we don't get home until at least 9:00. In my opinion, 9:00 is way too late for elementary children to be getting home from a game. If there were fields closer to Steiner, River Place, etc., a 7:15 game wouldn't be so bad. We feel that Four Points Baseball/Softball is a necessity in this area." - Naomi Harmon

"I'm the father of an 8 year old boy and 5 year old girl. Both regularly play soccer and baseball at Town and Country. It is consistenly a 45 minute drive on weeknights from RiverPlace to T&C, not to mention the distance and gas -- often resulting in one child having to miss a practice due to the physical impossibility of being at practices near Four Points and games at T&C. The children, given the chance, would opt to not attend games to avoid the drive!" - Tommy Mathis

"It is my understanding that children from our neighborhood play in 4 different baseball leagues. Apparently those leagues will not let us choose to play on a Steiner Ranch/River Place only team. Therefore, my son was drafted this season onto a team that practices on the other side of Hwy 1431 - 3 times a week. We have barely had time to get homework done, which is almost all being done in the car to and from practices. We need baseball & softball in our own community." - Stephanie Lusher
